Sketches Part 5 of 5

Okay, this was from back in 2005. I think it was some fan club party thing for her album, "Eternal Sunshine". Well, as you can see, two people have a drawing of Kelly.


Let's take a look at the one that looks like a cartoon version of Kelly.(below) I think this one is a very good drawing, except it doesn't really look like Kelly, but the hair and shirt does look like her from the album photos. But, like the facial features, it just looks like a cartoon, not much like Kelly. I still love this drawing though. Whoever drew it(I think it's the guy holding this picture) did a great job.


This one is kind of small. (below) But you can still spot the guy in the back holding this awesome drawing of Kelly. Now this one is realistic. It really looks like Kelly, or at least from my point of view. Great job to the person who drew it.


Well, this is the final part. I hope you all enjoyed it. All the drawings that I found were great drawings of Kelly. I would never be able to draw like that. Well, this is the end, unless I find some other drawings of Kelly. So say by to the Sketches Of Kelly....for now.

TSE Boutique

Well, this outfit is way better than the other one. At least it doesn't look manly, lol. For the most part of it, it's pretty good, but not her best ones. I like her hair, but it's not my favorite either. So overall, I'll just say this outfit is pretty good. I have no idea why Kelly is promoting for the TSE Boutique though, I think the designs aren't very good. They're okay. Also, Kelly still looks very tall next to all those people, lol.

KCafe's Mini Poll

KCafe's New Layout

I finally made a new layout. It's not really good, but I thought you guys might want something new. The banner is kind of plain, but I hope you still like it. I might make a Christmas layout later on and I hope it'll look better than this one. Thanks to everybody that's still coming to my site, I really appreciate it.

Sketches Part 4 out of 5

Okay, now let's take a closer look at the drawing, or painting. I'm not sure if it's really drawn by hand, but I think it is.


This picture is like a cartoon version of Kelly. It's a cartoon version of Kelly in Spain. Yeah, that outfit was from her Spain trip. During that trip, she had many beautiful outfits, but this was one of them. The Spain trip was for her album, "Love", this was back in 2003. I think this picture is pretty cute. I think one of her fans gave it to her. Anyways, I only have one more part to share for sketches of Kelly. I hope you guys like it so far.

I got to say this one is really good. Whoever drew this is a great artist. I've seen this picture of Kelly before, but I can't find it right now. I remember seeing her hair half braided with a green top. The picture really looks like Kelly. Great job to whoever drew this.

An Empress and The Warriors

The movie "An Empress And The Warriors" will be screened early next year in both HK and China. The movie producer Ms Chung was in Los Angeles to attend the America Film Market to promote the movie. The English version movie poster was also made seen first in public and had received good commendations on the costume designs.


Kelly was also full of praises for the armour. She said that it was made to her size and all the joints are done to fit. There will not be any problems in situations where she needed to make extreme movements. She also feels that the armour is fashionable. The belt used is the one currently in fashion. As the craftsmanship is done extremely well, all the actors wanted to keep them as a souvenir. However, Ms Chung has made an order that they will have to be displayed in the exhibition first before any decisions to give them to the actors.


In the movie, Kelly plays the princess who becomes the heir to the throne after the death of her father. She and Donnie Yen fought bravely to defend their kingdom. Later, when an attempt was made to assassinate Kelly, she was saved by Leon Lai who also became her love interest.

Finally they have pictures of Kelly from that movie. I've been waiting like forever, lol. I think her outfit is really cool. Can't wait to see movie.

Kelly Leaving TVB

I heard from Raymond @ KCC Forum that Kelly hasn't renewed her contract with TVB, that means she won't be in many TVB programs anymore. Now I won't have as much stuffs to watch on TV. TVB hasn't really been promoting her that much anymore though. I do hope that she'll keep singing, and maybe she'll film more movies.

Here is what Alan Tam has to say about Kelly leaving TVB (Credits to cloudychoco @ TVB Nation)

He said that she has a very deep foundation and has the power to make that choice.

Kelly At The Tse's Boutique Opening

Kelly was at the opening of Tse's Boutique yesterday and had wore a one piece suit from the store. However, she had worn an additional inner wear to the suit unlike the mannequins on display. When asked why she had done so even though she has qualities to show her figure, Kelly laughed that she does not have guts to do so.

Some had suggested to her to show her sexy body for next year's concert. She gave a laugh that she might turn stiffened her body and not dare to move much! Was it then only meant to be shown to her honey? She admitted that only he has seen it. Would she consider challenging Miriam Yeung's kissing scene in concert? She felt that it is unnecessary and it might frighten her boyfriend. As to whether she would invite her boyfriend to be the kissing partner on stage, she indicated that the audience consists of the old and young. If suddenly there is a pair of lovers kissing on stage, it might scare kids.

I was watching "Scoop" the other day, and Kelly showed up with this topic. But I felt like adding to it. I also heard that she's not doing the Turandot japanese musical anymore due to her leg injury, I think. I'm not sure, but I think she said while filming, her leg started hurting but she didn't say anything while filming. The people that are acting in the Turandot musical has already started rehearsal. Kelly said she really wanted to try that musical out because she hasn't done a musical before. I wished she could've been in that musical too. I would have loved to see her act in a musical because I've never seen her in a musical. But, I hope that movie was worth her getting hurt so many times.

Okay, the outfit looks really ugly. Why did Kelly have to show up for this Tse Boutique opening, why not another place with better clothes. Kelly seriously looks like a giant standing next to that designer. That outfit makes her look more giant. If she had just worn the shirt she had under, it would have been much better. I can't belive they made her wear that. Those pants are like almost dragging on the floor even on Kelly. Imagine the designer wearing that, lol. Well, I guess it's better now that we at least get some news from Kelly, better than nothing I guess.

I finally got the time to load this video. I thought the dance with Raymond was great. I loved her red outfits, except I wish she didn't have to put that silver hat on for that song. The rain coat outfit was okay. Raymond looked great, I loved both his outfits. I really liked the dance with Raymond, I thought it was wonderful. I would love to see more dancing from both of them. But there was one thing that I had to point out, Kelly was like Raymond's height with those heels, lol. Maybe they could do a ballet-like dance, with no heels, lol.

I just found it from searching pictures, so I don't know where it originally came from, lol. Those two are pretty nice though and if it was drawn, whoever drew it did a nice job. Enjoy though! Sketches of Kelly Part 1

I'll be posting up sketches of Kelly I found on the internet. No, I did not draw them, I'm not a very good drawer, lol. Well, I have no idea who drew this one though. It's actually pretty good, but it doesn't really look like Kelly to me. I recognized it from this picture of Kelly I remember seeing. What do you guys think?

Kelly at the Samsung Olympic Torch Bearer event

Eason Chan (陳奕迅) and Kelly Chen (陳慧琳) attended a Samsung Olympic Torch Bearers event today and met some of the people who would be carrying the torch as it reaches Hong Kong on its travels around the world towards Beijing.

The movie filming for The Kingdom And Beauty was completed and Kelly had laughed that she is thankful to be in one piece. Although the work was tough, she could not bear to part with the crew after completion. She had even hugged the director and cried on the final day of shooting. What was the most difficult task for the filming? She said that she needed to go into the water under freezing temperatures. She recalled that while she was filming in the desert, she saw many military tanks and soldiers walking past. She guessed that they could be secretly watching the filming. Earlier news mentioned that Ada Choi was taken advantage by movie extras while filming in China. For Kelly's movie, there are also many scenes of thousands of soldiers. When asked if she had a similar experience, she replied that she had not encountered them as she does not have any scenes together except for one doing a lion dance. Prior to that the director had warned everyone not to touch her. In a scene in the water, Kelly had to jump into a 2 meter deep pool. As her swimming skills was not fantastic, she needed people to help to bring her to the shore. Unexpectedly, the director cried to everyone not to touch her. At that time, Kelly was thinking that it was not the main problem even if she was taken advantage during that time!

Kelly admitted that filming day and night has been very tiring and as well as large battle scenes featuring thousands of soldiers and horses, there were also some scenes filmed in water. She had to grow very accustomed to her horse in the hope that it behaved during shoots. On one occasion she fell from her horse and the injury left a scar on her arm, which fortunately is starting to fade. Kelly said: "Although it does not hurt any more, it is a bit ugly. In the film, I had to wear very grand armour and perform fighting scenes with Donnie Yen (甄子丹). It was quite good, but I had to be careful during filming not to aggrevate my previous injuries."

Although Kelly had got a number of injuries while filming the movie, she admitted that she will take on more action movies in the future if there is a chance. She said that she was surprised to see herself looking fearsome while fighting dressed in armor. Wouldn't her boyfriend be worried? She excitedly said that whenever he visits her and sees her fighting, he is also interested to get involved. She displayed her pole skills in front of her boyfriend last night and it frightened him. The reporters laughed that he was not fit to be her opponent. Kelly immediately agreed as he had already retreated when he saw her with the pole.

Whilst she was filming in Beijing, Kelly's boyfriend, Alex Lau (劉建浩), did go and visit her on set. She said that he went to see her once and originally had planned to go again, but she told him not to bother because the facilities there were very poor. She laughed that when her boyfriend saw her filming fighting scenes, he wanted to take part in it too and she scared him when she demonstrated her martial arts staff skills at home.

Finally Kelly's done filming "The Kingdome & The Beauty". Can't wait to see that movie. I wonder how would Kelly look in ancient clothes? Kelly looks so pretty in that dress too, I love her hair. I hope she'll be having more songs now that she's done filming.

Kelly Spending The Mid-Autumn Festival At Beijing

Kelly has been staying in Beijing to film her movie "Kingdom And Beauty" for almost 3 months and is coming close to the end of the filming. She is this year's spokesperson for Maxim Mooncakes and although she was in Beijing, the company had arranged for over a hundred boxes of mooncakes to be delivered to her from HK. She could then share them with the filming crew so that everyone can experience the atmosphere of the Mid Autumn Festival even at work. She will miss the crew when they complete the filming. She expressed that even though the filming work was difficult and tiring, she felt happy to be able to learn invaluable knowledge about movies from the director. The boxoffice for the movie will be a secondary concern for her.

I remember hearing their duet song, "Love Someone". I loved that song. I do hope that they'll have another duet song though. I'm not a big fan of Hacken Lee, but I think Hacken't duet sounded better than his duet with Joey Yung though. Maybe if they have a duet song this year, it might be a hit song like "Love Someone" and Kelly will have a new song. Seems like ages since Kelly had a new song. She's been so busy filming this year. Even though I like the fact that's she's starting to film more movies, I would rather she sing that act. Okay, I'm getting off topic now. Yeah, I like them singing, but they aren't my favorite pairing for a duet song.

They wore the same dress!

Jennifer Lopez & Kelly Chen


Notice that they're wearing the same dress, except different colors. Jennifer Lopez has on a white one and Kelly's is kind of a tan color. Kelly added a few accessories though, like the scarf thing and that black belt and the black wrist things. But you could still see that the dress is the same, it has those same ruffles on the bottom and those sleeves. lol, I never thought Kelly would be wearing the same dress as Jennifer Lopez though.

Notice that the first picture and the second picture has the same dress, except Kelly isn't wearing it in the second picture. Well, I remember watching TV like two years ago and I heard that Kelly was selling some of her clothes to earn money for some donationg thing. I'm not so sure though. But that dress that she's donated, or selling is the one she was wearing in the first picture. I think Kelly looks pretty in that dress though. Just that some of you might be interested.

Funny Kelly On An Ice Chair

New feature added everybody, it's Funny Kelly! I will be posting some funny pictures of Kelly on this site for you guys to see. The first one will be this one, I think it's from a McDonalds promotion, it should be, with all those McDonald signs. This one is funny because of Kelly's face when she sits in that chair, it's probably cold or maybe she's just acting, lol. It's also funny how someone added the affects, those red marks. Kelly is so funny with all those expressions, I'll add more later on, so remember to come back! lol

I thanks KCxLove @ Kelly Concerto Club Forum very much for finding this video! Thank you KCxLove! This is a mini musical during the Miss Hong Kong 1999. The main characters are Aaron Kwok and Kelly Chen, other characters include William So, Cecilia Cheung, & Michael Tse. In Part 1, Kelly sang "Automatic" in cantonese.

This mini musical talks about Kelly being a half robot, half person from the 23rd century and she falls in love with Aaron when she came to the 20th century, but she's not suppose to, so William So removes her memory, and Aaron has now became her enemy instead. Kelly got hurt when she was running away from Aaron. William So said "If she ever wakes up, Aaron could take her away", and Cecilia Cheung says "Even if she does wakes up, she won't remember you Aaron." Aaron then sang one of his songs, and at the end of his song, Kelly wakes up, and then she remembers everything and they're happily together!

I don't know if I translated good, but I tried my best, I didn't translate the whole musical though, just part of it. If you understand it good, you shouldn't have to read my translation.

P.S. - Ron Ng is in this video, this was back in 1999, so he was still a dancer. One reason I've been looking for this video was because I heard that he was in this performance, but I couldn't find it, until KCxLove found it for me, so I thank her a whole lot. I would later post an article more about Ron, and of course, it's Kelly related.

Kelly Singing with Alan Tam

I would love to see Kelly working with other super stars, lol. I haven't seen this performance or ever heard of it, but it looks pretty interesting, Alan Tam & Kelly. I would like to see this performance, I wonder what they sang? Maybe Kelly was singing one of Alan's slow songs. Panther-Skinned Outfits Obsession

Kelly was obsessed with panther outfits at one time I guess, do you see any similarities in those two outfits? Yeah, they both have panther's skin somewhere. In the first picture, Kelly has a panther-skinned skirt, purse, and shoes. But she was wearing that probable because of the catwalk, but then how about the second picture, she's wearing panther-skinned capris, lol. At least this time she doesn't have a panther-skinned shoes and purse too. I actually think the second picture looks better than the first picture, the first picture has too much panther skin, lol. The second picture looks more...ummm....casual? I think that's the word for it.
